ISO 9001 certification
ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management systems. ISO 9001 certification by Multicert is accredited — Multicert performs the audit, the certificate is issued by an international partner body holding accreditation for ISO/IEC 17021-1. The certificate is honored across the EU and globally. Certification audit in 4–6 weeks from inquiry.
What is ISO 9001?

It defines requirements for organisations that wish to demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver products and services meeting customer and regulatory requirements. It applies regardless of industry, size or activity.

What does an ISO 9001 certificate give you?
- 01
Required in public procurement and tenders
Polish PZP and EU Directive 2014/24 — an ISO 9001 certificate is a standard qualification criterion in public procurement in Poland and across the EU.
- 02
Independent confirmation of consistent delivery
An accredited certificate is independent proof that the organisation consistently delivers what it promises — a strong argument in conversations with corporate clients.
- 03
Better internal process structure
Implementing ISO 9001 forces you to describe processes, roles and responsibilities. The result: less chaos, faster onboarding for new staff, measurable KPIs.
- 04
Fewer complaints and lower quality costs
Corrective and preventive action mechanisms reduce the cost of repairs, returns and customer churn. The investment typically pays back in 12–24 months.
- 05
Access to EU and global markets
A certificate accredited by IAF MLA signatories is honored across the EU, US, UK and Asian markets.
Seven sections of requirements.
ISO 9001:2015 follows the High Level Structure (HLS) — common to all modern ISO management standards. This makes integration with ISO 14001, 45001 and 27001 straightforward.
- Section 4
Context of the organisation
Identification of interested parties, external and internal factors, scope of the QMS.
- Section 5
Leadership
Top management commitment, quality policy, roles and responsibilities.
- Section 6
Planning
Actions to address risks and opportunities, quality objectives, planning of changes.
- Section 7
Support
Resources, competence, awareness, communication, documented information.
- Section 8
Operation
Planning and control of operations, design of products/services, control of suppliers, production, product release.
- Section 9
Performance evaluation
Monitoring, measurement, analysis, evaluation, internal audit, management review.
- Section 10
Improvement
Nonconformities and corrective action, continual improvement of the system.

How much does ISO 9001 certification cost?
The price depends on four factors: number of employees, number of locations, industry (audit risk level) and certification scope. A typical 50-employee company audit means 1–2 days for stage 2 (plus stage 1 — usually 1 remote day).
The audit-day rate is set individually — the full cost is known before the contract is signed. No hidden items: a single price for the entire three-year certification cycle (certification audit + 2 surveillance audits).
Remember
The ISO 9001 certificate is valid for 3 years. Surveillance audits every 12 months are shorter than the certification audit.

Frequently asked questions about ISO 9001.
What is ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 is the international standard specifying requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). Published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); current version: ISO 9001:2015. Adopted by more than 1.7 million organisations in 188 countries.
How long does it take to implement ISO 9001?
Typically 3–6 months depending on process maturity. Companies with well-described processes can be ready faster; organisations building the system from scratch usually need a full 6 months. Multicert does not implement the system (we separate implementation from certification), but during the first call we will assess your readiness.
Do I need an implementation consultant?
No — Multicert separates implementation from certification (an independence requirement of ISO/IEC 17021-1). You choose a consultant separately; it is optional. Organisations with an experienced quality management representative often implement on their own.
Is the audit remote or on-site?
Hybrid. Stage 1 (document review) is most often delivered remotely. Stage 2 (the certification audit) is usually performed on-site, as it covers process observation and conversations with employees in their working environment. For selected scopes a remote format is possible.
Is an ISO 9001 certificate from Multicert accredited?
Yes. Multicert performs the audit; the certificate is issued by the international accredited certification body we partner with, which holds accreditation for ISO/IEC 17021-1. The certificate is accredited and honored by public authorities, business partners and contracting institutions in Poland, the EU and globally.
How long is the ISO 9001 certificate valid?
The certificate is valid for 3 years from the issue date. During that period annual surveillance audits take place (usually shorter than the certification audit). After 3 years a recertification audit takes place and a new certificate is issued for another 3 years.
